Prof. Beni Lauterbach - Short Bio

Prof. Lauterbach has a PhD in Finance from the University of Chicago, one of America's universities, graduating in 1986. He joined the Graduate School of Business Administration in 1988 and heads the school's finance department. Between 2010-2011 he served as the school's Dean and Chairman.

His main research interests include Corporate Control and Social Responsibility, Financial Markets’ Microstructure, and Asset Pricing.

Prof. Lauterbach has gained wide international professional recognition, publishing more than 50 papers in scientific journals, including several publications in the top three journals in Finance ( Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies). In addition, he regularly presents at international conferences.

Beyond his academic work, he serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee of Clal Provident Funds, responsible for assets of over $10 billion. Prof. Lauterbach is alsoa former member of the Advisory Board for Maala – Israel's leading organization for social responsibility.
